Feels like an old town in Italy. Aged stone houses are utterly charming!

They are! Though maybe not so practical to live in, but that’s really where the charm comes in, isn’t it? 😉 Thanks, Isabelle for your thoughts! 🙂

I loved Tallin when I visited the city a few years ago (I was living in Stockholm and I took one of those duty free/cheap alcohol, hahahaa). It was indeed a fairy tale city!!

Yes, we have those boats from Helsinki, too. Such an easy way to do a quick trip! 🙂 How did you like living in Stockholm?

I loved it!!! I was really sad when I moved from Sweden to Ireland… Stockholm was my first home as an expat and I had two amazing years there!! 😊 one of the reasons I love zurich so much is because it reminds me of Stockholm so much!!! Apart from the obvious differences, of course, hahaha

You’ve certainly been around! Are you Spanish originally?

Yes!! I was born in the canary islands… but I lived almost all my life in madrid… since then, Sweden, Ireland and now Switzerland! But now I feel I want to settle here for a few years, hahaha

Happy that you founda place to settle down, hope it works out! 😄 We liked Zurich and Gruyères when we visited a while ago. Like you said, similar to Stockholm in some ways. Easy to feel at home 😄

That entrance draws you in. I’ve always enjoyed finding an unexpected restaurant, through an archway or down an alley, something that’s a bit lost in these days of Yelp and Trip Advisor et al.

Same here! I try to avoid looking up restaurants and cafes in advance because it spoils the pleasure of stumbling upon them. Of course then there’s always the risk I’ve made a bad choice… But it’s more like old school travel was and I like it that way!

The plants make it look a bit Mediterranean, I think!

I thought the entire old town in Tallinn was from a fairy tale! 🙂 But then again, Tallinn was the first ever medieval European old town that I visited so it made my experience even more memorable 🙂

Thank you for your comment! I agree, it’s fun to stumble upon places like this while traveling. Wouldn’t mind if this was how the entrance to my home looked like, either 😄
