When it’s grey, or a Monday, think happy thoughts…
Things that make me happy:
- Swimming outdoors
- Colorful sunsets (how original!)
- Having a double-espresso-with-soy-milk-latte at home on weekend mornings when I don’t have to hurry anywhere
- Flowers and garden photography – hence the green collection of photos illustrating this post!
- Making travel plans: the best part is when you finally make the decision
A place…
I always bring with me
The beach house of my dreams… I haven’t been there yet but I’ll get there one day!
Where I had fun
Everywhere! Most recently, Cinque Terre this summer with an old friend.
Which disappointed me
I do have a travel destination in mind which disappointed me, but I don’t want my blog to focus on the negative so I’d rather not say… Opinions are subjective, after all, and I’m sure many others have enjoyed their stay there. I’m also trying to stay out of debates regarding religion and politics. This blog is a neutral zone!
Which surprised me
Argentina: the wildlife, the diversity! Even the museums were innovative and interactive, like the ice museum we visited.
Where I lived a memorable moment
Maui, Hawaii in 2010, when I finally tried surfing and loved it! If only I lived in a country where I could learn to surf and spend my days on the beach…
Where I’d like to go back
Montpellier, France: I spent a year there as an Erasmus student back in 2002 – 2003 and it was an unforgettable year! I loved the city – Medieval and beautiful – and the areas around it offer such beauty for day trips. Beaches, vineyards, art, history… the Languedoc-Roussillon region has it all! I’m definitely going back there one day soon.
I’m sure she’s forgotten all about this by now since I’ve been so slow responding, but I was tagged some time ago by one of my very favorite bloggers, Manja from ManjaMexiMovie in a Happiness post. This post is my response.
I was also tagged – not so recently, either – by About her small world to participate in a challenge called “The places where” (originally created by Una vita non basta). Usually, I don’t do challenges, but this one’s travel themed, so why not? I’m skipping the nomination part.
Please do check out both of these wonderful blogs!

I know the feeling me too! It’s better sometimes to live in a world full of imagination and fantasy so we can escape real life now and then…

Hehe, you would be someone who doesn’t forget things like this. 🙂 Thank you for doing it and the shout-out. I enjoyed your answers even though you didn’t mention 10 blogs that make you happy. I’d gladly visit them all. But I know, hard to narrow them down. Languedoc-Roussillon, hm? I’m not sure I can even pronounced it, let alone ever wished to visit, but now I’ll keep it in mind. Montpelier sounds like a wine, so we’re set. 😉

It’s the biggest wine-making region in France, as far as I know 😄 I’m thinking of doing a seperate post for the blogs that make me happy – as you said, I couldn’t decide, there were so many!!!

Definitely agree on cultivating positive thoughts and the happy ones instead of focusing on negative side.
Well,as long as you have the desire to continue exploring, your beach house will come soon…maybe in a tropical place ? with lots and lots of palm trees !🌴🌴🌴
