I’m a fortyish woman with tropical childhood memories. I used to work in the travel industry and I’ve lived in several countries.
I now live in Northern Europe where I find myself freezing during the long winters, always dreaming of somewhere sunnier… where the snow has already melted away.
This blog started out as a travel photo blog, but it has evolved into more of a generic story blog. I love to write. This is where you’ll find my stories – past, present and future.
I’m also Mom to two 3-year-olds.
I appreciate all of your comments, likes and visits – thank you! Hope to see you here again!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. It’s always great to cross paths with a fellow traveler, especially one with the extraordinary gift that you have with the lens.

Hey! Hope you are doing great and your trips are so fascinating. I love your pictures and tales.
I’ve nominated you for the “FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION” Tag! You have the flexibility and leeway to interpret the “word prompt” the way you like and however you want! Photos, quotes, lyrics, poems or an article – whatever works for you!❤
Today’s “word prompt” is – NATURE.
I would love for you to participate and see more of your pictures(PS – No compulsion tho!) 🙂

Hey! Thanks for the tag and -most importantly- for the thought! 🤗 I decided long ago that I won’t do tags or awards but it’s always a compliment to be considered. I checked out your post and your photos are lovely, along with the accompanying quotes.
Hope to see you around here in the blog world! Have a great week!! 🍂🍃

Your blog title resonates with me very much – I’m always harking after sun, sea and warmth! I read your interview too – ‘My childhood was filled with after-school swims in my best friend’s pool’ – aah those were the days! For me it was playing in the pool at the club we used to go to – the usual after school activity!

Thanks, Dusty! Your blog title resonates with me too! I’ve always loved having sand between my toes and sometimes I used to get suntan lines from my flipflops between my toes😆 And YES, those were the days!!!!! Ah..!!
