5 Year Blogoversary (aka Oh My, Where Did the Time Go?)

5 years blogging already! Wow. It was Feb 8th, 2015 when I nervously pressed “Publish” on my very first post. Much has happened since.

But during all of this time, some things have stayed constant: many of the bloggers I met during the very first year or two have remained in my blogosphere. And, needless to say, I’m very happy for all the virtual encounters and international friendships I’ve made with other bloggers here on WordPress. Like I’ve said before, it’s like having penpals all over again.

(The WordPress editor has just underlined the word “penpal” as I’m typing this. A lost form of art! Or is it?)

To celebrate my blog’s anniversary, I have a tradition of creating a gallery with photos posted each month. These are blogging months, not real life months, and so some of the photos are older, from places I visited years ago. Blogging allows me to revisit them.

The past blogging year brought a change in the type of posts I did since I hosted Friendly Friday, a photo challenge that is now continuing its journey without me. Bon voyage!

Back to posts with more text in them now. I love writing and it’s one of the reasons I continue to blog.

After five years blogging, I have no wise words to deliver. I just want to say thank you for reading my posts and commenting! Your comments always make my day!

Happy blogging, everyone!

Happy Blogiversary! I just started and am looking forward to the day that I can say 5 years. I have had so many changes in the short time I have been doing it so I can only imagine what you have seen and done during the time you have been doing it. Here’s to many more years!!!!!

Ps. I’ve been finding it hard to access your content lately since I only ever have time to read blogs on my phone, and clicking the link to your posts disrupts the connection to the app where I’ve logged in and directs me to a browser version where I can’t comment or like… so in case you’re wondering why I’ve been silent! I miss your blog posts though, I like them so much 😊

I do know that sometimes mobile devices take you to a “reader” view that just shows the post you’ve clicked on and not the entire site (which would include navigation and comments). I’m not sure if that is what is happening. I’ve noticed my phone doing that quite a bit lately with varying website, it happened right after I updated it. But I will definitely check into it and see if something is happening on my end!! Thanks for letting me know.
