“What’s that orange thing that just slipped behind the bushes?” you whispered, with that pensive look in your eyes.
“Was it a sly tiger or perhaps the biggest of orangutans? For furry it was!”
I had my suspicions, but instead I said, “It was nothing but a happy orchid, swaying lightly in the breeze, dancing to the rhythm of the sun.”
For Terri’s Sunday Stills – yes, I’m aware it’s not Sunday anymore but I couldn’t pass on this theme!

I love it! I have such a longing for the tropics, I hope to go back soon. Btw I think I’ve been saying that for year now LOL!

Beautiful images. I also have an orange hibiscus swaying in the sun, not to mention the orange Iguanas out on the grass. 😅

The flower and the butterfly are beautiful. But my eyes are particularly drawn to the box of Hula Mints. Great design!

I love the design on that box too! I don’t even like mints but had to get that box

I am kissing the tropics slowly goodbye as we approach into winter here. 😦

I hear it’s been hot so maybe it’ll be a relief for you? Here its’s the other way around: I’m so happy to finally see a slice of blue in the sky!

I bet.
Yes it has been warm. Hotter up more in the north of Australia though.
Melbourne is very temperamental in regards to its weather 😆

What I want to know, very much, is: What were your suspicions about the orange furry thing? 😮 I wish you go tropical again.

Hmm it wasn’t actually me, the narrator was reporting straight from the jungle when suddenly our connection broke down. So I have no idea 😁

I’m sure I’ve seen many orchids in my life, but the first one I remember because it was so insanely beautiful was in Singapore about 15 years ago… “It was nothing but a happy orchid, swaying lightly in the breeze, dancing to the rhythm of the sun.” Your words describe the moment perfectly. 🙂

Ah thank you 😊 That makes me happy. Orchids are so beautiful- unfortunately I didn’t have a photo to match the words this time

It might not have been Sunday when you posted, but it’s almost Sunday again, which shows how far adrift I am. I thought you’d like this theme! Where’s the butterfly photo from? I don’t recognize it as one from Hawaii.

Good eye!!!!! I’m amazed you could tell. It’s from Aruba. I was going to write it in the caption but got lazy. (I’m so lazy these days).

Well, I’ve become a bit obsessive about butterflies here. Still haven’t seen the Kamehameha butterfly, one of only two native butterflies in Hawaii.

Ah. I bet you’ve done a post or two on butterflies? Maybe even recently now that I think about it…
