Time for a walk… Yes, I have my camera, do you? Let’s go.
Imagine knocking on this door…
Imagine that one person who put out the flowers… no, actually she (?) wasn’t alone… there are more on the top floor
Imagine walking a tightrope (please don’t! these are sculptures)
The Vistula river called us from a map; hubby suggested we head there after visiting the nearby Kazimierz neighborhood
It was a breath of fresh air, both literally and not
No tourist crowds whatsoever, just locals doing their thing
Boat restaurants
People sunbathing, riding their bikes and enjoying their weekend. It started to get a bit windy and droplets of rain fell, but the sunbathers didn’t flinch
A restaurant we didn’t visit but I liked the window art
A restaurant we did have lunch at – it was very good!!
Hipster scene in Kazimierz, the Old Jewish Quarter
Accidental blur
“Birds flying high, you know how I feel…”
Old Town
Detail of the Wawel Castle
In Kazimierz
In real life this wall was a bright lime green… the light played a trick on my camera!
The flowers draw my eye
Thanks for joining me!

Hello! Loved this collection of pictures. I have not been to Poland but would need to put it on the list 🙂

Thanks! We went there on a spur of the moment decision too, Krakow was a nice place to visit! 😊

Delightful tour! I especially like that lion’s head door knocker…the tightrope walkers’ bridge, your ‘accidental blur’, and imagining who lives up in those apartments with the flower boxes.

I liked the blur too. Thanks for touring with me Pierr! I enjoyed your company 😊

Terrific photos.
If I had to pick one favorite, it would be the one of the figures on a beam with the sky above them.

Thanks Neil for looking and for your thoughts! Those sculptures on the bridge sure were a surprise. Nice to be surprised every now and then!

It was (is) a pleasure joining you! Kazimierz seems not have changed much. 🙂 The picture with the bird above the red and green roofs I find especially wonderful, as well as the last one: pub browar. I like those kind of buildings and a neat photograph of them.

Thanks Peter, as always I appreciate your words! Kazimierz probably hasn’t changed, I believe you – the buildings had certainly seen things.

Yes yes, I had my camera and liked the things you pointed out. I liked the blur too and the fact that those are statues and not real people! And that the food was good. A lovely walk!

Thanks MM, I knew I could count on you! 😊 (If the statues had been real people, I think I wouldn’t have been taking photos as much as getting ready to call the emergency line…!)

A nice travelogue. Waterways – rivers, canals, lakes, oceans – are such a draw for people. Must be something elemental I think.

Thanks Graham! True. And they do add something to a town that otherwise would be lacking

I’m glad those were just sculptures! I’m afraid of heights! Looks like a fun place to visit.

Thanks, I’m a bit afraid of heights too, very happy they were just sculptures! (Though someone had to put them there…)

I simply loved the window and the door knocker, and the blur looks amazing.
Thuogh did you blur it because it had a person in it?😁

The blur was accidental but I probably wouldn’t have published it otherwise 😊

Lovely photos of Krakow, especially the one with the old building and the flowers! 🙂 I fell in love with the city before the first day of my stay was over. And one morning, I woke up super early to just walk all around old town to really be able to SEE the city without distractions. The best experience without doubt!

That was a great idea to wake up before the crowds! The Old Town must be so atmospheric without all the (human) distractions. Glad to hear you like the city too! Thanks for commenting!
