We’re only living in the memories of our future selves
-Reggie Watts

Buenos Aires viewed from the Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur (2014)
The nature reserve in Buenos Aires was an interesting place to visit. It was more than just some greenery in an urban space – it was like the collision of two very different worlds. I’ve described it in more detail in this previous post: Wild and Civilized.
A note on the quote: I recently discovered the persona called Reggie Watts and haven’t been able to stop watching his Youtube videos since. Intriguing! I don’t know if the quoted words were an intentional sentiment of his or not, but here they are. (If you’re familiar with his work, you’ll know what I mean!)
Great quote, googling him.

I like that Reggie Watts quote very much. It takes the pressure off somehow.
I remember that Reserva in BA, wandering through on a Sunday afternoon.

Thanks for reading, Alison! The quote definitely stayed with me when I heard it. And the reserva was great, we saw locals jogging in the heat, mixed with hummingbirds and lizards….

Thanks, Sid, for visiting! It’s comedy mixed with (sometimes amazingly) good music

I love that quote! Never heard of it or Reggie Watts before, but it rings so true nonetheless. Great picture, too! Really like the light.
