I used to love Narnia as a kid! It was so exciting 🙂

Oh my… and that warmth was something completely different than most of the world understands as warmth. Not only were you walking there but taking photos too. Proper heroine!

My camera did well too, sometimes it shuts down in the cold but this time it stayed awake 🙂

We’ve visited Lapland twice for ski holidays (Säriselkä) and found the scenery to be stunning, love the twilight too.

I agree about the scenery! This was at Kittilä. I’m not sure if I’ve been to Saariselkä, I might’ve been there once in the 90’s…

The spirit of Christmas. Don’t eat a carrot. It could be Santa’s nose.
Lovely photos. It makes me happy to be here but I do like snow pictures.

Gorgeous! These winter scenes make me smile. We had about 2 inches of snow last week and the entire Portland area went into a melt-down. People were stuck on the freeways for 6+ hours for a commute that normally takes 20 minutes. 😬

Is snow unusual in that area? Life in Lapland has definitely adapted around the snow factor!

We get very little snow most years. But freezing rain can be an issue. Now everything is back to normal with lots of good old Oregon rain.
Merry Christmas Snow! 🎄

These are great shots. I never get to experience this. I’d love to take just one vacation somewhere where everything is covered in snow.

You could still make it this winter, winter has just started! 😉

Thanks, Christina! Over here in Helsinki there’s no snow right now, winter really would look prettier if it were covered in snow! 😊

Amazing place. I expected to see Santa somewhere. Or at least an elf or two.

How very lovely! There will be no white Christmas in Houston so I live vicariously through you who have real winter.

Thanks, happy to be of assistance! 😉 There’s no snow in Helsinki right now but it’s always fun to look at old photos from snowy days – that way it’s much warmer, too! 😄

Wow snow! These captures feel so familiar, we’ve had many holidays in Lapland, thus the memories… The way the snow covers everything, even buildings, is something to be in awe about. ❤

This was my first time in Lapland during winter, so it was special! It looks deserted, almost, apocalyptic but in a beautiful and peaceful way 😉🤔😊

Looks stunning and scary! Navigating these roads must be a nightmare. Makes for excellent captures though! 🙂

Yes, it was a bit scary in a way! Very deserted too. Though, at the top of the hill, there was a cafe which was comparatively lively.

This is a place to spend the holidays. Talk about a white Christmas. Is it a popular place for the holidays?
