[…] One windy day, hubby and I were in Ushuaia, dressed in our North Face and Helly Hansen windbreakers and totally blending in with the crowd, when we boarded a half-empty tour boat to take us to see penguins at Martillo island. I was obsessed with the idea of seeing those penguins and couldn’t think of much else. (To my delight, we later saw more of them at Puerto Madryn.) […]

Oh the Humboldt penguins! I just posted a couple of pictures. They look so sweet, but their voice is like a Jericho trumpet 🙂

Hahah! Indeed! These were Magellanic penguins but maybe it’s the same thing? Look similar to yours 😊

Yes, indeed they are Magellanic penguins – the black stripe on their chest is much narrower. I just looked at their face, and the face is identical 🙂

Just read about your spiders “the size of teacups” — which you weren’t allowed to step on 🙂
I like spiders myself – I feed them with watermelons before letting them out of the house 😉
They love watermelon! :))
My guests … who saw me doing it, were not quite convinced I am sane 😀

Well that’s quite a story, never heard of anyone feeding spiders, let alone with watermelons! Interesting! 😉 Thanks very much for your visit and for taking the time to read and explore – not many people visit old posts, you know! 🙂

Yes, I know 😉 But I have always enjoyed exploring … 🙂
Still, I have limited time (of course – who doesn’t :D) and I do not read too fast: English is not my native language – I grew up in Minsk. 🙂

What was Minsk like, and why did you leave? 😊 (It sounds exotic!)
LikeLiked by 1 person
For the most part Minsk is a modern city – clean and nice and with flower decorations everywhere and lots of open spaces. I moved to Denmark because I fell in love … and I have grown to love the Danes too 😉
Wishing you a really good night, Snow, and a splendid week ahead! Looking forward to communicating with you more, when time allows! 🙂 🙂
