Waimanalo on Oahu was one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to – and as a beach lover, I’ve been to a few…
It looked like a travel agent’s poster. Maybe it actually is the beach on some of those posters.
The beach was almost empty that day, except for handful of people. There was a local man walking his dog, and a sunbathing couple further away.
I saw a little blue jellyfish washed up on shore and I was careful not to step on it, as it might’ve still stung. There were people paragliding above a nearby hill.
It felt like time had stopped – for just that afternoon, I didn’t have to think about anything else.

Gosh, the place looks so surreal!!! It must have been quiet an experience! So serene! 🙂

Very beautiful. It’s not difficult to see why it’s a favourite with you. The colour of the sea is stunning.

Beautiful doesn’t cover it. I’m still amazed that such vivid colours occur naturally!

Oahu is beautiful but you must come to Queensland. Our sand is so luminously white in the Whitsunday Islands that you can read the paper by moonlight! Pure silica at Whitehaven Beach.

Would love to! I lived in Brisbane as a kid and that’s where my love for beaches originated 🙂 I wish I still lived there, but now I wouldn’t be visa eligible anymore (too old, over the visa-critical age of 30!). Of course I can still visit 🙂 Visited Whitsundays 15 years ago and other places… Snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef and saw a cassowary in the rain forest in Daintree. Maybe I should do a nostalgic blog post about it, just haven’t gotten around to it yet! So much to blog about! 🙂

Oh you are a convert already! Yes, do a nostalgic post. I would love it.

I’ve got quite a few Aussie followers so I don’t know if it’d be received well or not if I blogged about it – though I guess it’s always interesting to read about your home country 🙂 Will do so 😉 And yes, I’m definitely a convert, haha! 😉 Have a great weekend!

Ohh myyy!! I need to bookmark your blog to check the beautiful places in Hawaii when we plan to go there someday 😀 The beach looks splendid and I never thought I would say this in my life, but this one does beat the beaches of Maldives! I mean the turquoise color and the serenity is the same but the backdrop of mountains for the beach! That you will not get it in Maldives.

Yeah, I liked Hawaii more than the Maldives, there’s so much more. (The Maldives must look spectacular from above, though, but I didn’t get to see the views from the plane) Hope you do visit Hawaii one day! I loved it!

I hope so tooo ❤ I have always thought of Hawaii as just "another" beach destination but now surely I have changed my mind 🙂

Funny, for me Hawaii was always the ultimate beach destination, not just any 🙂 Image marketing at play!

Haha 😀 Yes. Its all about perceptions and marketing 🙂 But I must say after seeing (reading) firsthand experiences of Hawaii from awesome blogs like yours I really want to visit it atleast once in my lifetime 🙂

Please do! 😉 I’ll be doing more posts on Hawaii every now and then – and there are old Hawaii posts in my blog, too, if you’re interested 😉

You know what? I have already bookmarked your blog for references when I plan a Hawaii trip 😀 Hubby is still studying so this year it is not going to happen. Next year maybe! And by that time I can see your new posts too 😀

That really sounds great Snow 🙂 I was wondering if you are kinda off at me for not knowing your name till I read your interview! Sorry again!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Oh no, sorry if you thought that! 🙂 By the way, Snow is just my nickname here on WordPress, but I actually knew a girl once who was called Lumi, which is Snow in Finnish. So theoretically, it could be someone’s real name! 🙂 Lots of bloggers call me with different abbreviations they made up, like SSW, and I really don’t mind at all. I know I should introduce myself better… maybe some day.

Ohh okie 😀 Yes , I respect your thoughts of being private till you feel comfortable 🙂 And am glad that I did not miss your name 😀 I make sure I know the names of all the blogs I follow 🙂 Makes it easier to relate to them and have a conversation. I love your blog and follow it quite avidly and was actually mortified to know I did not know your actual name till yde! I am so happy that its sorted out 🙂 I will call you Snow if its ok with you 🙂
