Bus stop, smoothie stand, parked cars and fishing boats…
While we were walking past the pier, a man in a loose, short-sleeved shirt, shorts and sandals ran up to us. He said, “Would you guys like to come over to our yacht and have drinks and seafood with us? It’s the big fancy one over there”
Then he laughed and said, “Nah, just kidding, just wanted to see the looks on your faces!”

Yeah! 🙂 I have to add, he was a tourist, too, not a local. As you might’ve guessed!

The pictures are gorgeous! People behave so strangely on vacation sometimes but that guy must have been pretty funny.

Thanks! Some on the spot humour – I guess he just went with the idea!

What would we do without humour – makes the world a less scary place.

True, and he did it in a friendly way so why not? 🙂 Anyway, I still remember it, so it added to my collection of souvenirs, in a way

Yesh, we wouldn’t have gone to his boat anyway because that would’ve been a bit weird… 😉

You have to admire someone with a sense of humour, even if it is a bit warped. But, I’m glad you didn’t go with him. Trusting people like that is a different matter.
Lovely, colourful photos. It’s a pity we haven’t got bus stops like that one in the UK. It would cheer up our many grey days.

I wish we had those colors here in Helsinki, too. The greyness of the cityscape matches the grey weather a little too well…

Hope you get somewhere nice and colourful this year. You deserve it after the awful summer you had last year.

We’re thinking of somewhere else for September this time and one of our sons says he’d like to use the apartment instead. At the moment, its a tug of war between Iceland and a Rome/Venice tour. (Nick’s opting for Italy because he wants the sun! So do I, but I’ve always wanted to see Iceland.) We’re still hoping to do the German Christmas markets in December, too. We’ve also got several breaks in parts of Britain. Like you, we’re just hoping for a good summer. 🙂

Sounds like you have many fun plans 🙂 Hard choice between Italy and Iceland, they are so different
