I love how the mountains flank the meandering river. The area looks enormous .

It does, doesn’t it? I like the river’s motion and the colors in this picture, greener than most mountain pics

It’s on our list! Did you go to Patagonia? I would love to visit the Galápagos Islands.

Never been to Galapagos, that would be lovely! But Patagonia yes: we spent about half of our 7 week trip touring Patagonia.

Heaps! This one is from Patagonia 🙂 And more under the top menu or in the footer’s tag cloud! So you can first do some online exploring, before the real thing, hahah 😉

Yeah, sometimes you see so much beauty on a trip that you don’t fully appreciate it all until afterwards. That was Argentina for me!

One of the most beautiful places I’ve been too! So much natural beauty, and I agree ; the mountains always make me feel very small in comparison to how very vast they are!

Thanks for the comment 🙂 It was really beautiful, wasn’t it? What I loved the most were the huge birds if prey always circling the sky. I didn’t get any good photos of them though.

Patagonia… Hmmm. So you have gone to the end of the world…

Yes, in Ushuaia (Tierra del Fuego) they literally had a sign saying that and we posed in front of it 😁 Have you been to Argentina?

Ushuaïa was the title of a TV exploration programme back in the 80’s. Have you posted that photo?
I have. But just Buenos Aires. On business. Spent the 3 days locked up in meetings, and only managed one decent dinner with the local office manager, and one hour walk in the street. 🙂
You went to Iguaçu too, right? Not on the Brazilian side?

Yes, Iguazu too. And nope, I haven’t posted that photo… but plenty others (without me posing!). Do you travel inside Mexico a lot?

Haha. I know you value your privacy, “Lumi”.
At the beginning, we traveled a lot inside Mexico, but our last significant trip (to Chiapas) was in 2010. I’ve since had back problems which make car travel a bit painful. And to be honest, the violence is wayyyy too high.
