Look Around You / Camera Lucida Reflections

Reflections in a pond for the Camera Lucida challenge

In my blog, I tend to skip around from one part of the world to another but I’ve stuck to posting travel pics. Lately, however, I’ve been thinking of posting more photos of nature, though it collides with my travel theme. What do you think?

I think I’ll just go ahead and post what I want, since it’s my blog! Anyway, I also think that domestic travel is sometimes an underrated form of travel, so here’s a little tribute to finding beauty in your local area.

First up, reflections in a pond for Julia’s Camera Lucida theme. The pictures are from Luukki, Finland .

My next few posts will include nature scenery and close-ups from Finland, mixed with my normal travel posts. I have a couple of Aruba posts already lined up and I’m going to Paris soon, so there’ll be some pics from there, too.

A special thanks to Dream Big, Dream Often for reblogging me and for selflessly making a mission of promoting other people’s blogs.

Thanks! I’ve been meaning to try out your challenge for a while now! I had a hard time choosing the pictures, reflections are something I love taking pictures of and I have a million of them. I chose some “halloweeny” ones this time 🙂

I think it’s a great idea to post nature photos – most of us love to see beautiful countryside. And regarding domestic travel, we need to remember that it’s not domestic to people from around the world. Your reflection photos are lovely and perfect for autumn.

That’s what I was thinking, it’s not domestic to everyone else, so in a way, it kind of still fits into my travel theme… 😉 (I’m good at coming up with excuses when needed!) Thanks, Millie! Enjoy your Sunday
