Stripes

Nature showing its stripes…

Stripes in nature

El Calafate, Patagonia, Argentina

In this wet field, we saw wild flamingos and tied-up horses… further ahead, the Lago Argentino (lake).

It was incredibly windy, resulting in snapshots rather than thoughtfully composed photos (freezing fingers if removed gloves!) But in real life, this scene was beautiful in its simplicity and it looked a bit like a colorful, natural painting…

  1. Yes, it is beautiful in its simplicity, Those differently coloured layers layers are lovely. You did well to take photos at all in such wind – not to mention the cold. 🙂

    • Thanks! I realised afterwards that it’s funny that in this photo, you really can’t see the wind at all – usually there’s at least one tree or something else to indicate windiness, but here there’s nothing 🙂
