A few waterfall-and-rainforest themed photos, taken during a visit to Iguazú a few months ago.
An old pamphlet advertised full moon tours; apparently the waterfalls had previously been open to visitors during full moon nights – I can only imagine what that might’ve been like!
Well, maybe next time then?

Nice shot! We were there a couple years ago when my son was teaching English in Buenos Aires. I will enjoy exploring your posts from that part of the world.

Glad to hear you liked my pictures! How interesting it must’ve been for your son to work there; you always see so much more of the local lifestyle if you participate in it! As for us, we were just passing by… A superficial glimpse and lots of photos 🙂

Hey, thanks for the comment! I can’t really take credit for the sights being gorgeous but thanks for browsing around my site! 🙂 Iguazú was so beautiful, it would be hard to take a bad photo!

For some reason, I found it difficult (read impossible) to get a good shot of Iguazu. But your shots are marvelous!! Well done.

Thanks! I actually thought it looked much better in the photos than in real life!! :O Access to the largest waterfall was closed so the ones we saw weren’t really as impressive as I had imagined. Though it WAS beautiful etc, I just mean that my own expectations might have been a bit too high… But I did love the tropical feeling there and the jungle!

Did you ride the boat UNDER the falls? Now that was impressive. And wet.

No, we didn’t do that because there were long lines and it seemed a bit too chaotic. Probably because the bridges to the Garganta del diablo were closed, everyone wanted to take a boat ride… Maybe we should have!

Bridges closed? No boat? Yeah, you have to go back. Did one of those little critters, coati, at least steal your lunch?

Yes, I can at least check that off my list! 😀 Paws on lunch, check!

I love your perspective on Argentina. It’s so much fun seeing it all over again through your eyes and remembering our good times there too.
I’ve been to Iguazu twice and it really sticks to my heart.

I have, but it is much less impressive, although the panoramic views are absolutely fabulous too!
